Инна ЖЕЛАННАЯ  Inna Zhelannaya's First Live Album is Coming Out

This March, Inna Zhelannaya and the group FARLANDERS will be putting out a new album, "MOMENTS," which will be released simultaneously in Russia (Green Wave Records) and in Germany (JARO Records).

"MOMENTS" is the name of a popular club in the German town of Bremen, where on October 24, 1999 the group held a two-hour concert. The first 74 minutes of the performance were what went into Inna's first "live" album.

According to the opinion of Farlanders and their producers, this is the most successful recording Inna Zhelannaya and her group have made in the ten years that they have been playing together. The Bremen concert demonstrates the radical progress the Farlanders have made in the past year, which was a very unique one for them. There was the rather confident expansion onto the international scene as a result of which the name Farlanders became known all over the world. They performed many concerts over the US and Europe, and were invited to a prestigious jazz and rock festival of world music. Their songs are currently at the head of world music charts, as well as of those of radio-stations and musical publishing houses all over the world.

This unique international performing experience, which the group didn't have until 1999, is probably the main reason that the concerts of Inna and the Farlanders make such a strong impression. The composer Andrei Misin, who recently attended one of their concerts after a two-year break, said: "I was amazed. They've become a super-group, and Inna is singing extraordinarily- ten times better than before."

It's not a coincidence that one of the concerts of the German tour in 1999, which took place two days before the concert in Bremen, was included by the magazine "Folk World" into the ten best performances of 1999 (several hundred performances from every continent were examined).

In April 2000 Inna Zhelannaya and the Farlanders begin their European tour (Germany, Czech Republic, Switzerland) in connection with the European release of their album "Moments." They will have four Moscow concerts in March.
